This Privacy Policy explains how Steelwater Consulting LLC (“Steelwater,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with steelwaterconsulting.com and any related webpage that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Site”).

Steelwater Consulting LLC is a Delaware limited liability company located in the United States. For purposes of applicable data-protection laws, Steelwater is the controller of personal information that it determines how and why to process.

1. Scope

The Site is an informational business-to-business landing page. It does not currently offer user accounts, online purchases, a contact form, a newsletter, behavioral advertising, or Steelwater-operated analytics.

This Policy applies only to information processed through the Site or when you contact Steelwater using the contact details published on the Site. It does not govern third-party websites, platforms, or services.

2. Information We Process

  • information reasonably necessary to evaluate or respond to your inquiry.

Please do not send classified information, export-controlled technical data, sensitive personal information, payment-card information, health information, passwords, or other confidential material through an unsolicited email or social-media message.

Technical information

Steelwater does not currently use advertising pixels or analytics tools on the Site. However, the Site and its hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Site. This may include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • requested pages and files;
  • date and time of requests;
  • referring webpage; and
  • security, diagnostic, and server-log information.

Steelwater does not use this technical information to create advertising profiles or to track visitors across unrelated websites.

3. How and Why We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
  • respond to inquiries and communicate with you;
  • evaluate potential business relationships or engagements;
  • protect our rights, systems, personnel, and business interests;
  • comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, sanctions, and export-control obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where European Economic Area or United Kingdom data-protection laws apply, our legal bases may include our legitimate interests in operating a secure informational Site and responding to business inquiries; taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; performing a contract with you or your organization; and complying with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Steelwater does not currently use non-essential analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking cookies on the Site.

The hosting platform may use cookies or comparable technologies that are strictly necessary to provide security, network management, accessibility, or core Site functionality. If Steelwater later introduces analytics, embedded services, advertising technologies, or other non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and implement any consent mechanism required by applicable law before using them.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary:

  • to hosting, infrastructure, communications, security, and other service providers;
  • to professional advisers, including legal, accounting, compliance, and insurance advisers;
  • to courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, or other authorities when required or permitted by law;
  • to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Steelwater or others; or
  • in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising on the Site.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may link to LinkedIn, partner websites, government-program websites, or other third-party services. When you follow a third-party link, that third party may collect or process information under its own terms and privacy policy. Steelwater does not control and is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

7. Retention

We retain business inquiries and related correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, evaluate a potential relationship, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect our rights.

Technical and security logs are retained according to the operational and security requirements of Steelwater and the applicable hosting or infrastructure provider. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless longer retention is required or permitted by law.

8. International Processing

Steelwater is based in the United States. The Site and related service providers may process information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an appropriate transfer mechanism or rely on another legally permitted basis.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • request access to personal information about you;
  • request correction or deletion of personal information;
  • request restriction of or object to certain processing;
  • request a portable copy of information you provided;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
